Arpi started her career working as a staff artist for Nickelodeon Animation Studios, working primarily on Angry Beavers.

A yearning to draw her own characters and happy representations of her heritage led her to start her own business, in 2015. Today, Arpi is renowned for her beloved modern illustrations of Armenian-inspired characters, which are adorned with intricately-drawn traditional Armenian costumes.

Arpi’s work was featured in the ARMENIA! exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during 2018-2019.

He holds a doctorate of Letters and an MBA. He has researched and published on medieval Armenian poetry; heritage language and language vitality; interactions between virtuality, culture and diasporas; and modern to postmodern Diaspora Armenian literature. He has also an extensive consulting background, having assisted both private and government entities on technology policy issues.

Ishkhan’s translations include more than 25 books by a diversity of authors, among them Mikayel Shamtanchian, Hagop Oshagan, Shahan Shahnur, and Zareh Vorpuni.

She lectures in the Program for Armenian Studies at UC Irvine, where she is also Visiting Faculty in the Department of Comparative Literature.

Talar is the author of Stateless: The Politics of the Armenian Language in Exile (Forthcoming, Syracuse University Press). She co-edits Diaspora: A Journal of Transnational Studies and contributes regularly to the online journal Critics’ Forum and the literary magazine Pakin.

She teaches Armenian language, history, and religion, and has served as a preschool director. As a member of Hamazkayin, she has performed in numerous theatrical productions. Her love of acting has also led her to do voice-over work.

Peggy constantly explores creative ways to instill a lifelong love of the Armenian language and culture in her young students. Her lessons, which always involve singing, dancing, and storytelling, are designed to stir her students’ imagination.

Peggy speaks six languages: English, Armenian, Arabic, French, Spanish, and Turkish. Peggy is also a classically-trained baker. Her strong ties to her Armenian heritage are a major component of her kitchen. She combines old and new recipes, and shares basic versions of them with her students.

He holds a degree in Accountancy from California State University, Long Beach.

Ara has a longstanding commitment to youth in the community, volunteering his time as a coach in youth-sports leagues and serving on the board of a nonprofit youth-based camp and a local school in Orange County, California.
